GoTrendier, a second-hand fashion buying and selling platform, has closed a financing round of 14 million euros to consolidate its presence in Latin America. While the company is based in Barcelona, its main markets are Mexico and Colombia.

BID Invest, Creas Impacto, and IDC Ventures are among the participating funds in this capital injection, while previous investors such as Ignia, JME Ventures, Bonsai Partners, and Pedralbes Partners have also joined the operation.

With the funding obtained in this round, GoTrendier will focus on strengthening the user experience and accelerating the consumption of second-hand fashion, "making this category a first-choice purchase option that positions it once again in the consumer's top of mind," explains the company in a statement.

This is not the company's first financing round. In January 2019, it announced a capital injection of 3.5 million dollars to expand in its current target markets, Mexico and Colombia. That same year, in March, it announced its merger with another second-hand fashion portal, Chicfy.

The platform has more than 9.1 million users in its community and celebrated its sixth year of activity in 2022 with over four million items in its catalog. In addition, in 2022, it expanded its business lines with the launch of GoTrendier Kids.

Second-hand fashion is a growing sector, dominated in Europe by giants like Vinted or Vestiaire Collective (in the luxury segment). Given its potential, some brands have chosen to join this consumption trend, from Veepee to Ecodicta, and including H&M and ShowroomPrivé. Even Zara has entered the second-hand fashion market with a trial program in the UK.
