Problem
The ageing of population and the sustainability of the health system are among the main social challenges that must be addressed in Spain. In addition, the social worker profession in the healthcare sector is currently devalued and poorly perceived.

Solution
Qida seeks to transform patient healthcare by improving the quality of life of patients through high quality, preventive, personalised care; improving the social status of caregivers (labour market insertion, better work conditions, training and a resilient community); and contributing to public/private healthcare integration, by reducing public expenditure per chronic patient (cost of re-hospitalisation).

Impact
Qida seeks to provide healthcare to more than 30,000 patients in the next few years, while also ensuring an improvement in the wage conditions of caregivers and in the perception of their social status.
